 Guided Tours

We are pleased to invite you to tour Sunnyside Acres Urban Forest Park as our guests to enjoy this natural wonderland. See and learn about this native habitat and the history of the area and forest, along with other current activities. Tours will be guided by well-known and experienced members of our Society and will be held rain or shine. Tours are free, although we appreciate any donations to the Sunnyside Acres Heritage Society if it is within your means.

Every year in the Spring we offer guided nature walks for adults and children who want to learn more about the forest, birds, and native plants.  Please check out our Event page for more details.

Following are other options for tours and speaker engagements.

Guided Nature Walk

A guided walk in a natural second-growth forest park can deepen students' connection to nature and enhance their interest in science. Walk in the woods, listen for birds, and discover interesting facts about native plants and trees. Participate in a scavenger hunt for the animals who live in the forest and learn about their habitat. Sunnyside Acres Heritage Society will provide experienced guides for the planned activities.
