Hazardous Tree Management

As a guide, any tree considered likely to fall or break resulting in potential damage to property or to passers-by should be further assessed without delay.

The Society, in conjunction with the City of Surrey Urban Forestry and Environmental Programs Department observes on a continuing basis during regular walkabouts, tours, and particularly after storms, the condition of trees adjacent to trails and the Wally Ross parking lot.

Any potential hazards/concerns are communicated to Surrey for further assessment and possible action along with any incidents wherein trees have fallen.

Visitors are also encouraged to report any concerns by calling Surrey 604-501-5050.

When reporting, identification of the location will be most helpful such as, “Chickadee Trail near 148th.”
